STRAATNAAM
De naam Schierstins verwijst naar een middeleeuws stenen woonhuis (stins) uit Friesland. “Schier” betekent grijs of verwijst naar monniken met grijze pijen. De naam is waarschijnlijk gebaseerd op de Schierstins.

STREET NAME
The name Schierstins refers to a medieval stone residential house (stins) from Friesland. “Schier” means grey or refers to monks with grey habits. The name is probably based on the Schierstins.
