Within walking distance are several shops and popular restaurants such as Mr Sam and BAUT as well as the Albert Heijn and the popular French bakery Le Fournil. The lively Amstelveenseweg and Olympiaplein are just around the corner. Public transport is excellent. The Zuidas, Schiphol Airport and the center of Amsterdam can be reached within a short time.
STREET NAME
The Parnassusweg is named after Mount Parnassus, a mountain range in Greece. According to Greek mythology, this mountain was the home of Apollo and the muses, the goddesses of art and science. Today, the name is used figuratively to refer to the realm of poetry and artistic inspiration.
