LAYOUT
The apartment on the 11th floor can be reached by elevator through the communal entrance on the ground floor. The living room is bright and connected to an open kitchen that is fully equipped. The hallway gives access to the main bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe. The second room can serve as a bedroom, children’s room, or study. Both the living room and bedroom provide access to a balcony with views of Westerpark and Amsterdam. The bathroom includes a double sink, walk-in shower, and toilet. There is also a separate toilet in the hallway and a storage room with a washing machine and dryer. All rooms have underfloor heating, and the apartment is finished with a herringbone PVC floor. A parking space can be rented for an additional fee.
SURROUNDINGS
De Voortuinen is a redevelopment project of a former office building into new residential use. The complex is located next to Westerpark with various restaurants and recreational areas. Nearby are the Haarlemmerdijk with shops, restaurants, and cafés, as well as the Jordaan district. Public transport connections are good, with bus and tram stops within walking distance, along with Sloterdijk Station and Central Station. The ring road is accessible via Haarlemmerweg.
STREET NAME
The Haarlemmerweg in Amsterdam is named after the city of Haarlem, as this road used to be the main connection between Amsterdam and Haarlem. In the 17th century, it was used as a route along the Haarlemmertrekvaart, where tow barges operated. The name refers to the historic trade and transport route between the two cities.
